Author: SY

Based on the study of Seeck & Diel (2017) on human resources management (HRM) that the role of high-commitment practice bundles appears particularly important. They indicated innovation related practices foster employee commitment, loyalty, learning and intrinsic motivation.

In order to bring insights with innovative solutions to the real business world, it is recommended that HR enhancement solutions has to be tied up with job re-design. For example, quality service providers and outsourced event organizers are needed for the themes of : Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development, brand building, future innovative leadership workshop, sportsmanship and life-style management for SMEs…etc. With innovative solutions providers, it is expected that the work-related pressure of HR practitioners may be reduced to a certain extent, the well-being of employees will be enhanced, and the practicality of training can be more integrated to the work assigned and life-style expected.

As mentioned by United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UNSDG) # 8 – Economic Growth that “sustainable economic growth will require societies to create the conditions that allow people to have quality jobs that stimulate the economy while not harming the environment.” Creating innovative decent job opportunities with a healthy working environment rely on life-long and life-wide learning of HR management teams. Hence, the following learning areas have been identified for future HRM to fulfill UNSDG 8 via work and process re-design for transformations and creation of new job opportunities for different age groups who enter into a different life cycle.

1) CSR/ sustainable development projects via new technology

   (UNSDG#4 – Transferable Skills) ;

2) Cross industry exposure for HR Community from different industries;

    (UNSDG#4 Transferable Skills and #8 Economic Impacts); and

3) Integration of wellness into job design with capacity building elements s

    (UNSDG#9 Innovations).
