In 2018, Yeung & Andiappan mentioned that yoga business practitioners need to think about the importance of integrating well being of products/ services, compliance, technology and rights of customers into a sustainable yoga business model. “And, they need to educate customers on the importance of these elements through on-going research and engagement works with the community.” (Yeung & Andiappan, 2018)
During an interview with Mr. Jimmy Chan, an experienced sports coach and entrepreneur/ Director of JIMGYM Studio, on 26th September, 2021, we noticed that professional medical advice with research and space re-design is the focus of educating sports related entrepreneurs for designing a disruptive business model for the future.
Through the interview, we understand that offering more choices to customers with professional services, linking up with medical experts for advice on healing pain before picking up a habit of playing sports, and designing solutions for staff/ coach to release work pressure with flexibility to maintain work / life balance are the critical considerations for business/ social sustainable development.
