UNSDG#4 Knowledge Transfer with #17 Partnership – Virtual Inauguration Ceremony, Rotaract Club, Rotary Club of Peninsula East

The World Bank (2017) defined social inclusion as a “process of improving the terms on which individuals and groups take part in society – improving the ability, opportunity, and dignity of those disadvantaged on the basis of their identity.” 


Following the definition of social inclusion concept, Rotaract Club, Rotary Club Peninsula East was set up under the kind participation of District Governor (DG), Mr. Keith Chow, Assistant Governor (AG), Ms. Mazhar Sultana, Rotary Club Peninsula East President – Mr. Derrick Tan and Youth Services Community Team, Dorothy and William.

Virtual Inauguration Ceremony, Rotaract Club, Rotary Club of Peninsula East


The pioneer virtual inauguration ceremony for the Rotaract Club, Rotary Club of Peninsula East  was held on Feb. 19, 2022 with a welcome remarks speech delivered by The President, Dr. Chui, HS, Gratia Christian College. The core team members of the Rotaract Club are students from different programmes of Gratia Christian College under the leadership of Rotaract Chief Advisor/ Head, School of Business – Dr. Shirley Yeung.


The upcoming project of Rotaract Club is on “Resilience via Entrepreneurial Spirit, Design Thinking, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to Transform with Metaverse Mindset”.


Through the setup of the Rotaract Club and the Resilience Project with a group of stakeholders to serve the community, the concept of social inclusion is to be visualized.
